Another exceptional line up sees all roads lead west once more for the Dingle International Film Festival

Now in it's eleventh year and having never come up short on the quality and calibre of its events which has previously seen the likes of Laura Dern, Saoirse Ronan and Jim Sheridan make appearances, the programme for this years award winning Dingle International Film Festival is no exception with a stellar line up of creative forces from the world of cinema.
A prime example of the high quality of events on show is the opening film on Thursday 23rd March, "Free Fire" the latest feature film from exciting British director Ben Wheatley at the Phoenix Cinema which also involves a Q&A with the great auteur himself.
Friday 24th March sees another exciting event with the Irish premiere of "Stanley a Man of Variety" which also features a Q&A session with director Stephen Cookson and star and award winning actor Timothy Spall.
On Saturday 25th March the Phoenix Cinema will hold a special feature presentation of Sully with the film’s writer Todd Komarnicki, a prominent writer, producer and director of film.
These events are just a taste of what the Dingle International Film Festival has to offer with other events from 23rd-25th March ranging from the fifth year of the famous Animation Dingle Festival to the screening of recent award winner at Chicago Irish Film Festival "Uisce Beatha" by Elaine Kennedy as well as the Irish premiere of HOPPER: IN HIS OWN WORDS and a Q&A with its director and producer Cass Warner in the beautiful surroundings of St James Church.
With a Festival Pass for all events coming in at a very competitive €125 and individual events priced at a criminally cheap €15, there is simply no excuse for any fan of film not to head to the Dingle Film Festival this March to experience what will surely be an exceptional celebration of all things cinema in the alluring setting of West Kerry.
A full list of events and further details can be seen on the Dingle International Film Festival 2017 website.
* This will be the first of many pieces on this blog of what promises to be a memorable Dingle Film Festival.
