Just two new releases this week at Tralee Omniplex and they could not be more different! Another episode in the Jurassic World series brings with it extra noise, effects and adventure and is worth a look. For those who have had their fill of blockbusters there is the comedy drama Book Club which may not have been received well critically but does include an all star cast. With some quality summer blockbusters like Deadpool 2, Avengers: Infinity War and Solo: A Star Wars Story still on show there is still plenty to see at the cinema this week with the added bonus of all shows today just €6 as part of Omniplex Cinema's Tuesday Treat!
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom
It may not have set the world alight critically but this sequel to the 2015 feature Jurassic World is an incredible visual feast that will bring joy to all fans of the loud and brash popcorn munching big budget blockbuster. It also features a cameo from Jeff Goldblum which is worth the entry fee alone!
Book Club
Despite and all star cast that includes Diane Keaton, Jane Fonda, Candice Bergen and Mary Steenburgen this Bill Holderman directorial debut has been panned by the critics for it's pedestrian pace and dour plot! It may however act as a respite from the summer blockbuster glut if dinosaurs and superheroes are not your thing!
