What movies to watch this weekend?

In the Cinema:

Handsome Devil
Following on from the success of The Stag, director John Butler is back with Handsome Devil a movie dealing with the unlikely friendship between two totally different boys at boarding school. Initial reviews are positive continuing the rich vein of Irish filmmaking in recent times. Worth checking out!

At Home:

Train to Busan
One for the Zombie thrillers fans as Train to Busan outs it's own highly  original spin on the genre in this harrowing horror-thriller that follows a group of terrified passengers fighting their way through a nationwide viral outbreak while trapped on a blood-drenched train ride to all the way to Busan. For fans of the genre only!

On Telly

District 9 (RTE2 Saturday 22nd Apr 21:20 pm)
The film that shot both it's director Neill Blomkamp and star Sharlto Copley to fame in this modern day sci-fi classic that has a bountiful supply of technical brilliance, incredible action and gut-wrenching emotion in equal amounts. Stands up well to repeated viewing.
