Now in it's 18th year, Kerry Film Festival continues to provide a platform and audience for the screening of short film programmes including international film exchanges, music documentary and selected feature films.
The Festival, which takes place from 19th to 22nd October 2017, is now inviting entries for short films in categories such as Best Irish Narrative, Best International Narrative, Best Original Score, Best Documentary, Best Student, Best Animated Film and Best Kerry Connection.
Also rather excitingly, for the first time, the Kerry Film Festival is accepting submissions for Feature Films to screen at the festival in 2017.

The historically successful Kerry Film Festival has previously featured successful shorts such as the Oscar® short-listed “Head over Heels” in 2012 and the 2014 Oscar® winner “Mr Hublot” and 2016 Oscar® winner "STUTTERER". Four short films that screened at KFF in 2016 were also nominated for the IFTA awards in 2017.
In 2016, the introduction of the Short Film Market in Killarney brought international speakers and guests including Sundance Grand Jury prize winner, Jim Cummings to the festival. Over it's 18 year history Kerry Film Festival has grown to become a vital element of Kerry’s cultural landscape offering a unique film experience to both the local community as well as creating a ‘must attend’ cultural tourism event for visitors to the county.
