5 movies to catch in March

Traditionally, blockbuster season didn't really begin until summertime but nowadays March seems to bring the first of the big budget movies, as award season is soon forgotten and the big popcorn flicks start to seep through. Here are a selection of what this month has to offer to the avid moviegoer
                        

5. Kong:Skull Island
Fast paced, action packed with solid performances from a cast including Tom Hiddlestone, Brie Larson and Samuel L. Jackson, this Kong origins story should have enough to satisfy fans of the genre. Take in MAXX Screening and bring along the large popcorn for full effect!

4. Beauty and the Beast
A traditional tale injected with a new freshness due to CGI technology, an engaging cast and beautifully written songs. Fans of musicals and Disney films will surely get great enjoyment of this remake from director Bill Condon.

3.Get Out
The eagerly awaited horror flick Get Out, which deals with the visit of a young African American man to his Caucasian girlfriend's cursed family estate. This film has all the signs of becoming a box office smash as the initial reviews have been very  positive for this tale of horror, mystery and suspense from debutant director Jordan Peele.
 

2. Chips
Now who doesn't love a bit of nostalgia and this adaptation of the 80's TV series promises just that as Dax Shepard and Michel Cena take on the roles of Jon and Ponch as a pair of California Highway Patrol Officers?To say I'm intrigued as to how this one turns out is an understatement!

1. Free Fire
The next offering from director Ben Wheatley about an arms deal that goes spectacularly wrong contains a stellar cast including Arnie Hammer, Brie Larson and Cillian Murphy and promises to deliver on tension and action in the unique stlye of one of the most consistent film makers in circulation today.
