Walk the Line - (RTE 1 Wednesday 14th June 21:35)
James Mangold's compelling biopic is made all the richer because of the sublime performances of Joaquin Phoenix as Johnny Cash and Reese Witherspoon in an Oscar winning role as June Carter. Paired with a excellent soundtrack this film is well worth another look!
Interstellar - (RTE2 Thursday 15th May June 21:40)
Ambitious and thought provoking sci-fi from Christopher Nolan that includes a fascinating premise and some quality performances from an exceptional cast. Recently came in at No. 47 in Empire Magazine's Top 100 which is no mean feat!
The Fighter (Channel 4 Friday 16th June 00:55am)
Slightly predictable yet solid boxing drama from David O' Russell that includes a collection of outstanding acting performances including the exceptional Melissa Leo who received an Oscar for her role in this film. On a bit late so may be a Sky+ effort needed here!
